Performance training is a cyclical process divided into 4 twelve week phases. The i6 performance system is designed to enhance 6 components of athleticism. Speed, strength, skill, stamina, suppleness and strategy are the six components that make up every athlete or every sport. Philosophically, the athletic body must be trained for balance and to correct the problems of one side sport-specific training. The IAD staff is very conscious of developing an athlete for a wide variation of movement strategies while integrating explosive techniques to develop all 6 components of athleticism.


A defining concept of specialized development is to develop general, related and specific athletic qualities in a sequential approach. The specialized athlete must prepare the body through general training before applying specialized and specific movement patterns of the sport. This is a defining principle of the IAD™ training program.
